2014 – Change is in the air
Can you feel it? Do you notice that things all around you are
changing? What are you changing right now?
This time of year, there are lots of changes going on. Kids are going
back to school, summer vacation is over, people are changing things in their
life, the seasons are starting to change in some parts of the country.
Other major changes may be happening at this time: changing jobs, changing
homes, changing partners, starting or ending businesses. traveling, remodeling.
When any change is made, it has a ripple effect – on your own life and
often, on other people’s lives in some way.
During times of great change, it helps to make changes consciously.
Even simple things like rearranging your office, moving your furniture around,
changing your sheets, upgrading software, moving pictures around . . . all are
changes that can be made consciously at no cost and can help use the energy of
the times.
A funny thing happens when people stay stuck and don’t make changes.
It seems that the universe conspires to force them to change through accidents,
injuries and other unplanned events.
We started last year year with the theme "Dream Big!" and this year
with "Wishes Fulfilled" Those mean
expanding your idea of what is possible, setting an intention for wonderful
changes and then allowing those changes to unfold to fulfill that new dream.
This month, take some time to make changes in your life – large or small.
Look at things that have been on your ‘to do’ list and get some of them done
this month. You may find that once you start, other changes will naturally
follow along. In that way, you are consciously using the energy of the
times to make the change that you want.
From
The High Price of Manhood, by Michael Jay Anthony:
There
were once three frogs sitting on a log. One
of the frogs decided to jump. How
many frogs were left?
The
answer: Three frogs were left —
because there is a great difference between deciding to jump and
actually doing it. A
valuable concept to remember as you make changes in your life.
The
decision to make changes in yourself — to become independent of the thoughts
and control of others — is the first step to ultimate fulfillment.
Taking
action after making that decision is the most important thing
you can do for yourself.
We have written several newsletter articles on
dealing with changes, coping with changes and the process of
change.
